DANG VIET ANH NGUYEN

Dang Viet Anh Nguyen

I am a PhD student in the Machine Learning for Smart Mobility research group at the Division for Transportation Science, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). My research lies at the intersection of Machine Learning, Operations Research, and Control, with a particular focus on applying Reinforcement Learning to control and optimize large-scale, multi-agent systems in transportation and logistics. I am broadly interested in how intelligence can emerge in complex physical systems — what is often referred to as Physical AI. This includes modeling and optimizing decision-making processes in dynamic, uncertain, and interactive environments, especially where AI interacts with the real world.

Prior to joining DTU, I worked as a Research Engineer in Intelligent Systems and Optimization at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU). I hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
