DANG VIET ANH NGUYEN

Dang Viet Anh Nguyen

I am a PhD student in the Machine Learning for Smart Mobility research group at the Division for Transportation Science, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). During my PhD, I am also a Visiting Researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where I collaborate with the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering. My research lies at the intersection of Machine Learning, Operations Research, and Control, with a particular focus on applying Reinforcement Learning to control and optimize large-scale, multi-agent systems in transportation and logistics. I am broadly interested in how intelligence can emerge in complex physical systems, which is often referred to as Physical AI. This includes modeling and optimizing decision-making processes in dynamic, uncertain, and interactive environments, especially where AI interacts with the real world.

Prior to joining DTU, I worked as a Research Engineer in Intelligent Systems and Optimization at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU). I hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
